Well, finally back in Atlanta after visiting family for the holidays. I must say, although I love them dearly…it’s good to have peace and silence. Does this make me a loner, anti-social or just one who loves and appreciate peacefulness? I think the latter. Well that brings me back to my one and only favorite place in North Atlanta. In a city called Duluth, a place called “heaven on earth”.
JEJU SAUNA. www.jejusauna.net. It’s a traditional Korean bathhouse with a twist of 21st century and modernized design.
It has all the elements of peace and serenity one would look for when experiencing a spa, sauna and steam room all in one. I mean, where else can you spend $25 and swim in a regular length pool, soak in a hot, mild and cold jacuzzi, shower in the open (men and women locker rooms are separate), relax in an herbal scented steam room, dry up in a cedar smelling sauna and lay under ultra red light on warm marble floors. Oh, and to top it off…it’s 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. WHOA!!!
OH, that’s just the locker rooms. Come out to the common areas where there are 3 large igloo-type saunas. All designed with different elements to help your body relax and rejuvenate. The Korean cafe is interesting, serving selections true to Korean traditions.
I must say..if you are ever in Atlanta, you must make your way up to JeJu Sauna. It’s an experience you don’t want to miss.
